Strikers Club Phantom Playstyle: Fake Shot and La Croqueta feints, winger and striker routes, 1v1 mind games, and combo strings. Deception guide — July 2026.
Fake Shot and La Croqueta deception.
Phantom is the deception Playstyle in Strikers Club — Fake Shot and La Croqueta sell one action and deliver another. Oddshot built it for attackers who win on mind games rather than raw sprint beats. Like every Playstyle, Phantom changes skill animations only — no shooting or dribbling stat inflation.
This Strikers Club Phantom playstyle guide explains feint timing, wing/ST roles, and how Phantom pairs with Maestro link players and Generalist finishers. Verified July 23, 2026.
Learn bindings on controls, then drill feints in Free Play before ranked 1v1 or 5v5. Phantom is not mandatory for high rank — it rewards players who already read defender hips from how to defend sessions.

| Move | Sells | Delivers | Common mistake |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fake Shot | Wind-up to shoot | Pass or dribble exit | Telegraphing same feint every touch |
| La Croqueta | Shift to one foot | Push to other side | Using into standing Jockey |
Phantom skills live on Playstyle slots — same layer as Generalist moves but different animation tells. Defenders in Strikers Club are human: they react to wind-ups, power meters, and shoulder angles. Phantom exploits that reaction window.
Unlike Maestro's vertical lift, Phantom feints stay low — ideal when keepers and CBs expect driven shots or square passes in the box.
Starts shoot wind-up, cancels into pass or dribble. Best when CBs preload slide on your first touch in the box. Release pass to overlapping runner instead of completing the shot.
On penalties, Fake Shot is situational — patch notes may restrict feints; verify in-game before relying on it in knockouts.
Pair with how to shoot so real shots and fakes share believable wind-up timing — always mixing the same tell makes fakes readable.
Quick lateral push from one foot to the other — exits pressing CB when you receive back to goal. Ideal on penalty spot cutbacks and half-space channels.
Do not Croqueta into a second defender who already closed the exit lane — one feint, one pass is the default Phantom rhythm.
Fake Shot → pass wide is the highest team-value sequence for Phantom wings. La Croqueta → low driven shot works when keeper cheats pass lane — see shooting guide for power.
Chain Fake Shot into La Croqueta only in 1v1; in 5v5 the second man punishes long animation chains.
Phantom fits inside forwards, inverted wingers, and false-nine STs who receive between lines and feed runners.
| Position | Phantom role | Signature sequence |
|---|---|---|
| LW / RW (inverted) | Cut inside; feint shot | Fake Shot → through ball |
| ST | Drop link; Croqueta CB | La Croqueta → lay-off |
| CAM | Secondary Phantom | Fake → wide switch |
| CM / CB | Rare | Prefer Maestro/Generalist or pure pass |
| GK | No | Goalkeeping only |
Phantom wants half-space receives — start wide, feint inside, release to Generalist overlapping FB or far-post ST. Pure touchline speed is Generalist territory.
Drop between CB and 6, La Croqueta on first touch, lay-off to sprinting winger. Do not feint three times in the box — human keepers read patterns after two identical fakes.
Phantom is strong in 1v1 matchmaking — feints bait premature tackles. See game modes for duel queue tips.
Wide receive → Fake Shot inside → pass to overlapping FB is the standard Phantom wing pattern. If FB is Generalist, time pass after their stepover so defender cannot recover.
Central Phantom STs: La Croqueta on edge of D, lay-off to arriving CM — do not feint when three defenders collapse; pass back and reset shape.
Phantom rewards variety and patience. Ranked opponents adapt after two identical fakes — rotate real actions.
Match wind-up length to your real shooting habits. Aim camera toward corner on Fake Shot even when passing — defenders read camera.
Do not slide on first wind-up. Jockey, delay tackle, force pass. See how to defend — contains beats dive on feint-heavy players.
Call "fake" or "shot" on voice when feinting so teammates do not block pass lanes. Phantom without comms frustrates random 5v5 teammates.
After SBMM v0.79, repeat feints get punished faster — rotate real shots from how to shoot every third entry. Track which CB on the enemy team slides early; target them with Fake Shot, Jockey the patient defender.
In 11v11, Phantom STs should feint less inside crowded six-yard boxes — one Croqueta to create a yard, then square. Hero triple-feints lose balls to second-phase presses.
Five minutes Free Play: five Fake Shots into pass, five into shot, five La Croquetas left and right. Then one unranked custom 5v5 before SBMM queue.
